WATER EXPERIENCE TRAIL

The Water Experience Trail at Schloss Hof Estate covers an area of approximately 2,000 m², combining historical knowledge with an educational experience and making the water cycle of the Baroque garden easy to understand in a playful way. A new attraction for young adventurers and adults eager to learn.

As early as the 18th century, water played a central role at Schloss Hof. For Prince Eugene of Savoy, ponds and water features were expressions of creative power, prosperity, and natural beauty. The new Water Experience Trail builds on this tradition—with informational panels on the historical use of water and the function of the Baroque pond landscapes.

The Water Experience Trail combines historical facts with interactive fun. Learn about the technology behind Baroque water features, try out for yourself how water flows, is dammed, and is moved—all while enjoying shady resting spots under old trees.

The Water Adventure Trail is not just a place to play and cool off; from the very beginning, it was designed with water conservation in mind. Thanks to motion sensors and manual controls, water flows only when it is actively being used, eliminating waste entirely. The water used throughout the day is not lost but is reused to irrigate the Baroque garden—a sustainable cycle that inspires.
