Palace Day 2025 – A Woman’s P(a)lace

On July 19, 2025, we will celebrate European cultural heritage for the 10th time together with the European Royal Residences, with a special focus on strong women at the courts of Europe.

Once confined to the roles of wives and mothers, the Habsburg women rewrote their stories. Behind palace doors and across diplomatic salons, they shaped their identity with keen intellect and a refined sense for art and culture.

This year, under the theme “A Woman’s P(a)lace”, we honour their lasting legacy – of art, politics, and power.

From Schönbrunn Palace to the Sisi Museum and Schloss Hof, their voices still echo through gilded halls.
