Current COVID Informations
as regards handling the situation concerning the Corona virus, we are orienting ourselves on the part of the SKB (Schloß Schönbrunn Kultur- u. Betriebsges.m.b.H) on the recommendation of the WHO and the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the Federal Government. Situations such as these are also taken into account in the safety concept of the SKB.
We are now pleased to be able to open all locations again to our guests from 15 May 2020
(Kindermuseum Schönbrunn Palace will open from 29 May 2020)
Information on the new opening times and current exhibitions in all locations starting 15 May 2020:
Schloss Hof and Schloss Niederweiden
Schloss Hof and Schloss Niederweiden welcome you as of 15 May daily from 10am to 6pm.
In Schönbrunn Palace as of 15 May, the Imperial Apartments and resplendent state rooms can viewed daily from 10am to 5pm.
Opening times starting August, 9.30am until 5pm (last admission 45 minutes prior to closing time)
Guided tours in German available daily at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3pm.
The Schönbrunn Palace Children’s Museum is re-opening its doors and welcomes its first guests on 29 May.
Starting on 15 May, the palace park is reopening its gates once more to the Crown Prince and Orangery Garden, the maze with Labyrinth and the Labyrinthikon Playground daily from 10am to 5pm.
The panoramic terrace on the Gloriette is open again for visitors.
The Schönbrunn catering services invite you once again to enjoy their imperial gourmet pleasures.
Imperial Furniture Collection/Hofmobiliendepot ∙ Möbel Museum Wien
The Imperial Furniture Collection is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
Sisi Museum • Imperial Apartments • Imperial Silver Collection in the Vienna Hofburg
The Sisi Museum with the Imperial Apartments and the Imperial Silver Collection in the Vienna Hofburg are open daily from 10am to 5pm and looking forward to welcoming their visitors.
Rules of conduct for safeguarding our guests
o Group sizes are at present restricted to a maximum of 30 persons (including guide).
Educational programmes (e.g. curator guided tours, workshops, etc.) are available but here, too, with participation of a maximum of 15 persons.
o Control of the number of visitors through the visitor flow management system and time slots (Schönbrunn Palace), respectively counting protocols carried out by supervisors of the rooms on show and by controlled access (Sisi Musuem/Imperial Apartments/imperial Silver Collection (Vienna Hofburg) Schloss Hof and Schloss Niederweiden and also the Imperial Furniture Collection/Hofmobiliendepot ∙ Möbel Museum Wien).
o At present there is no regulation obliging you to cover your nose and mouth as long as it is possible to keep to social distancing of 1 metre.
Should this distancing not be possible we request that in the interests of your health and that of all visitors you voluntarily wear protective covering over your nose and mouth.
o Guests are requested if possible to make cashless payments in the building and grounds.
o For group reservations the previous procedure applies as was valid for online reservations.
o Pick-up of reserved tickets: at the main gate at the left in the Visitors Centre.
o For group reservations, the previous procedure for online reservations apply.
o Furthermore, hand sanitizers will be installed for usage, also reinforced measures for cleaning and disinfecting audio guides and the recommendation to use the printed audio guide texts as alternative.

Cancellation of all reservations till 30 September inclusive
Measures on account of the cessation of visitor operations in all four locations:
o All reservations made until and including 30 September 2020 have to be cancelled because of the safety measures.
o New online group reservations are possible again until and including 30 September 2020.
o The group size in the online reservation system was aligned to the group size specified by the Federal Government (at present 30 persons incl. guide).
Time slots are issued depending on the number of persons.
Please state the number of persons as precisely as possible.
Changes when picking up tickets on site are only possible to a limited degree (+/- 4 persons).
o For groups with 10 or more person our Inhouse Group Guide System will be available and obligatory.
o External tours through the Bergl rooms are possible again (outside the hours from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). The maximum group size are restricted to a maximum of 20 persons (incl. guide)

Baroque Water Spectacle 2020

‘Baroque Water Spectacle 2020’ will take place at the Schloss Hof Estate.
The Baroque Water Spectacle offers visitors an experience that is unique throughout Austria, a fascinating show that tells the story of how a little girl grew up to become the young Empress Elisabeth.
The story is highlighted and accompanied by a spectacular water show with fountains 20 metres high, a horse show, drummers, singing and amazing acrobatic acts.
You’ll feel the fine water spray from the metre-high fountains on your skin, the vibrations of the horses’ hooves under your feet, and thrill to a close-up experience of a story that is full of suspense and excitement.
Words have little chance of adequately describing this experience, so make sure you order tickets for one of the eight dates as quickly as possible.
Each of the dates is subject to a strict allocation of tickets to ensure we can offer our visitors a safe and unique performance, so don’t waste any time buying your tickets for this unparalleled spectacle.

To the group attractions at Schloss Hof & Schloss Niederweiden
Much has been written and published about the austrian empress. Indeed, the fascination of this woman grows the more one discovers about her. Also known by her familiar name "Sisi", Elisabeth has captured the imagination of many.
Our group guests receive 5 % off shop products with their admission tickets (excluding special offers). Souvenirs, postcards, books and food specialities from the region are available in the Greisslerei – the “corner shop” – in the Kontor/shop in the Meierhof (open daily 11 am – 6 pm) and also in the shop in the ticket office courtyard (open daily 10 am – 6 pm).
Information for bus drivers
There are 21 parking places for buses to choose from. Bus drivers are entitled to free admission and a non-alcoholic drink in the restaurant “Weisser Pfau”.
